Love at first sight!

parapet cleaning services

Just like many people, you must be asking what is there to write home about cleaning. Or may be saying "I know how to tidy my room, my office looks just fine thank you or I'll make sure my watchman/house help or gardener cleans my car very early in the morning" You know sometimes when you've been with your partner for so long you take them for granted. Think of this man who was desperate for excitement and went on to respond to a personal advertisement from a flower loving lady looking for a man who somewhat fit his profile. At the meeting point, he was surprised to see his wife walking in! They were a perfect match for one another all along; they had just lost touch with who they really were. There is something really magical about something fresh, something new; it makes us see the beauty in ordinary things. And if you are like this couple, then this first edition of Parapet Monthly is for you. We have brilliant ideas for you to re-discover the beauty in your assets that you may have deemed old, musty and just plain old tired! Be it your home, garden, office, beloved car, you name it; we will make you see it as you did the first time. With the understanding that the economy has taken a downturn for the most part, we have generous and pocket-friendly plans to ensure that you get your stuff cleaned and you still have something left to celebrate with your family and loved ones. In this issue we take you down memory lane on how Parapet came to be and give you a sneak preview of where you and we both are headed in this exciting journey. You will read on tips about cleaning and loads of other exciting topics in this and many other future publications from us.

Top 100

The motto or tag line in a company may make or break the dealings in that organization. Say aim higher? Or something to that effect that company will strive to do better. At Parapet our tag line is “aiming for distinction and excellence” and in that short statement bears our motivation not to settle at best but further.

Spread the love

People started trickling in one by one as early as 10 a.m to stay on until the end of the day. Well the Parapet family did not disappoint, all led by our group CEO Mr Alex Nyaga, put work aside that day just to spread the love. There was plenty of activity and although we attended, we also made sure that the guests were in a clean environment, thanks to our very able stewards. We salute them; they make us who we are with their dedicated efforts always.

On the 4th December, 2010 at Mukenjeru Primary School some few Parapet staff represented the company in the anti jigger campaign function as part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR)

A number of corporate companies such as Safaricom Ltd, Ashley’s beauty salon, new KCC, KCB, magnate ventures, house of manji had joined hands in a bid to collectively create awareness on the jiggers menace and eradication.

Poverty was found as the root cause of this menace. The victims were given free treatment and also advised on the importance of personal hygiene. The entire experience was very enlightening and informative. It was a one to one basis; we came to understand that the key parameters to this menace were evident.

Ahadi trust fund the organizing company solicited for donations to be given to the victims and different companies gave to this call monetary and materially. There was much appreciation for the kind gesture shown to the victims by the Parapet team since it had gone out of its way to collect basic needs (bales of maize flour, rice, bar soaps, maize, beans, shoes sizes and clothing’s) which were paramount for that particular event.

To show our participation for the event, the team volunteered to take part in cleaning of the affected victims and disinfected them. A group of eleven kids were cleaned up by the parapet team who we also provided with new shoes.

The campaign was deemed successful since some recovered victims from the previous visit were engaged in a number of activities.i.e. Sports activities.

After the days activities scheduled ended all participants were awarded a certificate of participation. Our team strived to leave the place better than we found it by ensuring all the litter in the compound was cleared.

We felt proud to not only having been part of the event but also to have made a positive change in the victim’s lives.

Kenya is now facing the worst drought since 1950. This is being termed as the gravest food crisis in the world. Women, Children and Men in our country are dying of hunger and we must act now.

Recently, Kenyans have reached out to each other, rallied together to take action and contribute towards addressing the situation.  On 27th July 2011 The Kenya Red Cross, KCB Foundation, Safaricom Foundation, and the Media Owners Association launched the Kenyans for Kenya initiative.

To date Kenyans for Kenya have raised Kshs. 672,266,369 in cash and in pledges. The funds donated will go towards both short term solutions (emergency food relief and water trucking) and medium term solutions (rehabilitating or sinking boreholes and setting up greenhouses to improve food security).

As part of the Kenya Top 100 for Kenya initiative, Parapet Cleaning Services participated in the exercise which culminated in a concert at Nairobi Uhuru Park where support was offered in cash and in kind through the provision of garbage collection during this worthy event.
